Dry-supplied pouch format
Pouches are stored and shipped before water activation, then prepared at the packing site.
1 / 1 Ice Pack · Water-Fill / Water-Activated Ice Packs
Dry-supplied coolant pouches activated with water at the packing site. Reference sizes range from nominal 100 to 600 ml; select the pouch, fill target and conditioning procedure for your packout. A packout is the complete arrangement of the product load (payload), coolant and insulation inside the shipper. Conditioning means pre-freezing or bringing the coolant to its required starting state. An ambient-temperature profile describes route and seasonal temperature exposure on the shipping lane.
Product Overview
These dry-supplied coolant pouches are filled with water, allowed to hydrate and then frozen at the packing site. Select the nominal size, pouch construction, fill target and conditioning procedure to match the insulated shipper and payload.
Pouches are stored and shipped before water activation, then prepared at the packing site.
A model-specific fill line, mass or volume supports repeatable hydrated weight and freezer preparation.
Select nominal size and dimensions to fit the available coolant space inside the insulated shipper.
Confirm film construction, dry fill, closure, water target, tolerances and carton packing before production.
Product Specifications
Use these reference options to select a starting configuration. Final values are recorded in the product drawing and order specification before sampling or production.
| Specification | Reference data | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Reference nominal variants | 100 ml / 9 × 12.5 cm; 200 ml / 10 × 15.5 cm; 400 ml / 12 × 19.5 cm; 500 ml / 12.5 × 21 cm; 600 ml / 13 × 23 cm | Confirm for selected configuration. Capacity definitions and tolerances are not supplied. |
| Reference outer material | PE | Confirm resin/film structure, thickness and closure. |
| Internal coolant system | Granular water-absorbing phase-change material | Confirm formulation identity and dry fill mass for the selected model. |
| Reference nominal phase transition | 0 °C | Confirm for selected configuration. Not a guaranteed payload temperature. |
| Activation | Fill with water to controlled target, hydrate, inspect and freeze | Each size requires a model-specific instruction to be established and approved before use. |
| Thermal duration | Confirm with technical sales | Confirm with technical sales. Qualify the selected variant in the complete packout. |
Use & Packout
Control the water target, seal integrity, freezer preparation and loading position for the selected pouch.
Verify the model code, nominal size, pouch construction, water target and closure method against the selected instruction.
Add clean water to the stated fill line, mass or volume and allow the internal absorbent material to hydrate completely.
Secure the opening as instructed, wipe the pouch dry and check the closure and seams for leakage.
Freeze in the specified orientation until the complete pouch reaches the required starting state.
Use the specified pouch quantity and positions in the validated shipping arrangement and remove damaged pouches from service.
Complete shipping system performance
Confirm the minimum and maximum product load, coolant quantity and pre-freezing or conditioning method, insulated shipper, ambient-temperature profile for the shipping lane and transit duration in a defined complete-packout thermal test or qualification protocol.
These references explain industry qualification and transport practices. They do not certify this product or replace testing of your complete packout. Using an ISTA 7E profile alone does not constitute ISTA certification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Use these answers for initial selection. For ordering and packout setup, follow the specifications and instructions confirmed for your model.
Reference nominal sizes are 100, 200, 400, 500 and 600 ml. Final capacity basis, dimensions and tolerances are confirmed on the product drawing.
Only when the selected pack is used inside a qualified complete system with material documentation, a defined payload range, an ambient profile and controlled operating instructions.
No. A reference coolant transition point does not guarantee payload temperature. Coolant placement, insulation, load and ambient exposure determine the system response.
Submit the required envelope, water-fill target, packout constraints and volume for capability review. A new size needs a drawing, seal validation, conditioning instruction and usually thermal testing of the complete packout.
