Compact empty format
The carrier is designed to fold after unloading for storage and return-route planning; verify the exact folded envelope.
1 / 6 Insulated Shippers & Containers · Insulated Cooler Box
A collapsible reflective VPU-series carrier designed for compact storage and return logistics after unloading. Confirm the wall insulation construction, assembled and folded dimensions, usable space, approved folding sequence and complete coolant-and-payload packout for the selected model.
Product Overview
The soft reflective enclosure can reduce empty storage and return volume when its walls are collapsed in the intended sequence. The VPU designation does not by itself define the insulation: confirm the wall construction and approved folding method for the selected model. If rigid VIPs are used, fold only at designed joints or remove the panels as instructed.
The carrier is designed to fold after unloading for storage and return-route planning; verify the exact folded envelope.
The outer facing, edge binding, closures and handles form a portable secondary enclosure around the internal packout.
Panel joints, removable sections and fold sequence can be controlled to avoid damage to the insulation assembly.
Cleaning, inspection, rejection criteria and return handling can be specified for a managed distribution program.
Product Specifications
This is a collapsible reflective VPU-series carrier. Confirm the insulation construction, wall layout, capacity, assembled and folded dimensions, fold-cycle limit and thermal performance for the selected model by drawing, sample and complete-packout testing.
| Specification | Available basis | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Product format | Collapsible reflective shipping box | Selected model, assembly sequence and closure |
| Insulation construction | VPU model-family designation | Whether the model uses VIP, PU or a composite assembly; confirm materials, thickness and layout |
| Assembled dimensions | To be confirmed | External, internal and unobstructed usable loading space |
| Folded dimensions | To be confirmed | Empty folded envelope and return case-pack |
| Folding arrangement | Model-specific | Panel joints, hinges, removable parts and approved fold sequence |
| Closures and carrying | Model-specific | Lid, straps, handles, load limit and handling method |
| Cleaning and reuse | Procedure required | Cleaning agents, drying, fold-cycle limit and rejection criteria |
| Temperature performance | Complete-packout test required | Complete-packout and route qualification for the selected model |
Use & Packout
Approve the assembled and folded configurations, insulation arrangement and folding method for the selected model. Fold the empty carrier only at the intended joints. If the construction contains rigid VIPs, do not bend or crush them.
Raise every wall, position the base and lid components and secure the specified joints and closures before loading.
Check reflective surfaces, edges, corners, bindings, handles and closures for punctures, crushing, separation or incomplete engagement.
Condition the selected coolant, protect sensitive contents where needed and follow the approved payload, separator and sensor arrangement.
After use, remove all contents, clean and dry by the approved method, inspect the carrier and fold it only along the designed joints.
Complete transport configuration
Confirm the minimum and maximum product load, any coolant or other thermal-control component used, starting conditions, closure and opening frequency, route ambient-temperature profile and transit duration in a defined complete-configuration test or qualification protocol.
These references explain industry qualification and transport practices. They do not certify this product or replace testing of your complete packout. Using an ISTA 7E profile alone does not constitute ISTA certification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Use these answers for initial selection. For ordering and packout setup, follow the specifications and instructions confirmed for your model.
VPU is the model-family designation used by the supplier. Request the current BOM and section drawing to confirm whether the selected construction uses vacuum insulation panels, polyurethane foam or a composite insulation assembly.
If the selected construction contains rigid VIPs, fold only at designed joints or remove the panels as instructed. Do not sharply bend, puncture or crush a finished VIP.
Capacity and dimensions vary by model. Select from a controlled drawing that shows assembled external and internal dimensions, usable payload space and the complete folded envelope.
Qualification and certification depend on the exact model and intended program. Assess and document the carrier, coolant, payload, loading pattern, closure, sensors and route profile for the intended use.
